Virginia - That's a Rap
Operation Rap is about to begin. Your job will be...
* Choose a region of Virginia and research it
* Write a papragraph about your region including important information you have learned
* Post your paragraph as a comment
* Read other's posts and comment
* Work cooperatrively to create a rap about the five regions and record for Podcast
* Create a map of the five regions; as time allows
VIRGINIA
"Virginia is our home. Its proud history tells the story of who we are. Its mountains, rivers and valleys help shape us. Its communities and its people support us. Virginia is where we live.
Virginia is a rich and varied land. It has ocean beaches, costal plains, rolling hills, steep mountains, deep valleys, and much more. Virginia has five major land regions:
* The Tidewater (Coastal Plain)
* The Piedmont
* The Blue Ridge Mountains
* The Valley and Ridge
* The Applachian Plateau
Each of these regions has its own special qualities including many natural resources for its people to use."

This is a blog by a group of rising 4th and 5th grade students from the Bristol Virginia City Schools attending the 2007 -2008 Tech Academy. They will share with you some things they have learned about the five major regions of Virginia and perform via Podcast a rap they have written called "Virginia - It's a Rap."
